On the road again: hello Sardinia
Starting is always the most difficult part of writing. And I realised I haven't been writing any updates since about 6 weeks. As you may know I wanted to use my time off work for a couple of things: spend time with family and friends, do some soul searching and of course: travel, travel, travel. After the 4 weeks in the alpes it was time for some family & friends visits. I spent the first 3 weeks of august back home in South Germany, enjoying the summer. Then I drove back up north west to Rotterdam and spent time with my friends there, went to two weddings in the Düsseldorf area and was surprised that there is actually a dutch summer with sun and everything!
I got a lot of rest during this time and I really enjoyed to have a bit more time than usual with my family and to see friends I haven't seen for ages. But I also got restless again and started to organise my next trips. So I finally booked 12 days Sardinia. And here I am! I spent 4 days in the north east, stayed in a pretty touristic place with a lot of couples and families. Not really my thing, but luckily it all turned out well. I managed to organise some climbing & hiking and enjoyed to drive around this beautiful place. I really like Sardinia. Mountains and beaches, both beautiful as they can be. What else do you need?
And since two days I am at the kite camp. Living in a little apartment in the village, together with our two kite instructors and a girl from Brazil I am enjoying the lazy live. Because the first lesson of kite surfing we got: you have to be lucky to have exactly the right wind. Yesterday it didn't look good and we were hanging out in the apartment all morning. Luckily the wind improved a bit and we were able to do some first practice with the kite in the early evening. Fun and scary :-) Cross your fingers for the perfect wind, they say a storm may be coming :-)
