Day 5: Bye Bye Karwendel
Ok, by now I think you get the point how my day looks like. So here only the special parts about day 5. I am actually starting to like going up, better than going down. And this day started with 4 hours going down. With the last part before lunch being on a really steep car road. Not nice for your knees! And then we were down in Hall where there were about 3-4 options. My book advised the easy route, stay the night and then walk up the next day. Of course we chose the route that was advised in the other book: via the seven summit route. To not loose a day we followed the books advise to take the lift up roughly 2500 meters and then walk the last two hours up to the Glugenzer hut. Because we missed the bus to the lift (because we were buying blister stuff) and had to wait 1 hour it was after all a long day, but due to my new learned slow walking skills I felt good when I arrived at the hut. The Glugenzer hut is a beautiful place, the highest hut of the whole trip. We had a great time despite that due to low water reserve the showers were closed. The hut had really nice hosts, great food and it had a cozy winter feeling, luckily with the oven on :-)
